The Wine Cellar
The granary had a tub for stomping grapes on the ground floor (we
couldn’t save it, we’re afraid)and four different ceramic-lined vats for
storing the juice, two of which were made of stone in the cellar. We
took great effort to restore the cellar and put in a glass ceiling so its
beauty could be enjoyed from the living room.

The Living Room
During the day, the sun lits up the original wood ceiling beams, the
original handmade brick columns and stone walls. By night, led-
lightning illuminates the crystal cabinet and the shelves.

The Garden
Lawn is a luxury here in the Monegros, so we only planted it on the
top part of the 800m2 garden. In winter time the plants hibernate or
we spin them in a cocoon to keep them warm. Come spring we plant
both an ornamental garden and an organic vegetable and herb
garden for our meals. In the bottom part of the garden, we’ve
transplanted a centenary olive tree that was going to be cut down and
palm trees that Jose Maria grew from seeds he collects on our travels.

The Spa
We have a 5-person spa in the garden for relaxing under the sun or
the stars. There are also sun cots for lying out in the sun to read or just
to enjoy the quiet.
